Pastor Byron & Lashona  Hypolite

Pastor Byron and Lashona Hypolite are both lifelong residents of south Louisiana. Both have a deep & fiery passion for the Lord and for souls for whom he died.

Raised on the foundation of truth, Byron drifted away into the world as a pre teen, until he finally obeyed the Lord's call to come into His Kingdom. After having a drastic out of body experience & vision of the next world, he cold turkey left a hip hop career that he invested much into in order to follow the Lord.

Several years later he & Lashona met at church where she came searching for a deeper experience with God. Soon, she became born again, they were married, and she entered into nursing school.

As God called them to plant the church, she sought the Lord for direction and gave up a career in nursing to assist & follow her husband. She has been and is such a blessing to him in far too many ways to count.

Today they are blessed to experience the joy and beauty of their two wonderful children.

And blessed to serve the people of Disciples Of Christ Jesus St. Martinville! And all who the Lord places in their path!

Clinical Education:

Pastor Byron is also clinically & professionally  educated in the area of the pastorate. In 2019 he pursued higher education and graduated as an ACPE Graduate {Association for Clinical Pastoral Education} from Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, La.

ACPE is the premier, Department Of Education recognized organization that provides the highest quality Clinical Pastoral Education {CPE}  programs for spiritual care professionals of any faith and in any setting. This is through a rigorous accreditation and certification process for centers and educators that provide CPE. The depth of this training enables students to realize their full potential to strengthen the spiritual health of people in their care as well as themselves

As of 2021 Ochsner Medical Center was ranked the # 1 hospital in the State of Louisiana for the 10th consecutive year and was recognized as a Best Hospital for 2021-2022 by U.S News & World Report, the global authority on hospital rankings and consumer advice.

As Pastor Byron shared the classroom & field with other National & Global interfaith leaders during this process of higher education, he was a leading voice and influence in the classroom and his graduation class.
